The following instructions are for LiftMaster Door Openers.
First, locate the radio receiver on the Door Opener. The radio receiver may be wired externally or may be built into the circuit board of the operator. If built into the circuit board, there should be a button labeled ‘learn,’ ‘program,’ or ‘learn xmitter.’ An external radio receiver will be wired to radio terminals on the operator. They can have 3 or 4 terminals and will usually be marked as such; R1, R2, R3 and R4 (if a 4 wire system).
Second, make sure the wireless keypad is compatible with the radio receiver:
Receiver Frequency/Code Keypads

Built in Usually 315MHZ Rolling* 377LM (Rolling)
*Some newer boards are Security + 2.0, consult the operator’s manual to verify frequency and code.
To Program the keypad:
1. Press the learn button on the receiver to the garage door opener. ( an led will light up for 30 seconds.)
2. Put in your new 4 digit code into the wireless keypad and then hold down the learn button, ( within the 30 seconds mentioned before.)
3. Hold the enter button down until the LED goes out or you hear 2 clicks from the door operator, ( approximately 15 seconds.)
4. Release the enter button and then test the new code.
